A lunch with a view of the turquoise blue waters and the Mittagskogel. A glass of Carinthian Zweigelt Rosé Frizzante to go with it. It's like a short culinary holiday. The Melcher/Karner host family live out their passion for cuisine and high standards of quality every day. Only fresh products of the finest quality find their way into the kitchens of the Karnerhof. Feelings can also be interpreted in culinary terms. On the one hand, as nuances of taste that treat our food with sensitivity. On the other, as an experience that is nourished by down-to-earthness and awakens a deep sense of pleasure.

In addition to the dewy, freshly harvested products from our own gardens, chef Nicolas Artl puts his main emphasis on cooperation with regional producers from Carinthia and the Alpe-Adria region in our restaurant on Lake Faaker See. This is also reflected in his finely nuanced cuisine, which plays with flavours and reflects the diversity of this three-country region and its diverse influences. Carinthian delicacies and Austrian delicacies meet Mediterranean highlights from Italy and Slovenia in the à la carte restaurant Karnerhof, but without losing sight of the big wide world. Regionally and seasonally balanced, the varied bouquet of flavours enchants in all its colours and a great interplay of aromas. And again and again, returning to the magical view of the lake, sinking with delight into the turquoise blue expanses.
And the accompanying wine? It doesn't take long to arrive. Mr Egger will delight you with a selection of exquisite vintages from his wine journey around the world.
