All rooms are equipped with double bed, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, telephone, safe, hair dryer and some with minibar. Pictures are illustrative, variations from the photos and sketches in terms of the actual furnishings, colour scheme and floor plan are possible.
 

• Our prices are room rates for double occupancy (for family rooms for 4 persons) in Euro and include half board and VAT.
• The local tourist tax is not included in our prices and will be charged separately (for all guests aged 17 and older, € 2.70 in the months of June to September and December to March, € 2.20 in the months April, May, October and November).
• In the case of package deals and other offers, prices per person and stay may also be shown, but these are marked accordingly.
• If a single person is booking and occupying a room, the price of the room is reduced by € 100 to € 120 per night depending on the rate type (except for family rooms).
• Our prices may vary depending on the season and demand.

The booking and cancellation terms vary by rate or arrangement. The specific conditions will be listed in our offers and before the online booking process is completed.

The European Travel Insurance provides you with insurance in the event of a cancellation. Please consider purchasing coverage, particularly if you are booking a non-refundable package.

• We recommend booking our gourmet half board.
• Deduction may apply when booking bed/breakfast only, depending on price and category.
• When booking with breakfast: price for half board € 30 per person and day, price for snacks around 4pm € 10 per person and day.
• Full board supplement € 25 per person per day.

Your room is available starting at 3:00 pm latest on the day of your arrival through 11:00 am on the day of your departure. If you arrive earlier or depart later, you can use the Karnerhof's facilities free of charge. Luggage storage is available.

Breathe in deeply and enjoy the fresh, clean air of Carinthia: This is what the Karnerhof stands for. And this is also why we ask for consideration of our guests who would like to experience their holiday in the midst of nature in an environment that is as smoke-free as possible. On Lake Faaker See, it's best to sleep with the windows open, and here smoke unfortunately knows no boundaries. For this reason, our rooms and balconies as well as all public areas inside the hotel are smoke-free, with no exceptions. Furthermore, smoking is not permitted on our terraces during meals. For those who would like to enjoy a cigarette or cigar during their holiday, our outdoor smoking areas are available in front of the main entrance and below the restaurant terrace. Ashtrays for tables on certain parts of the terraces will be provided by our service staff upon request, after the meal and provided that other guests do not feel disturbed. If smoking takes place in the room or on the balconies, we will charge a flat cleaning fee of € 150.

Thanks to our quiet location directly on the lake, for the sake of the environment, we do without energy-intensive air conditioning systems. With solid brickwork and good insulation, we have already created the conditions for a pleasant indoor climate.  Our natural cooling is provided by the moderate climate at 554 metres above sea level and the fresh air from Lake Faaker See.

With a few simple measures, there is no need for air conditioning even on the hottest summer days: during the day, it is best to keep the windows closed and draw the curtains. This can reduce direct sunlight by up to 75% and prevent the summer heat from entering the room through an open window. It is best to air the room out extensively during the cool morning and evening hours. At night it also cools down a little and the fresh air from an open or tilted window always brings enough fresh air into your room. Thanks to our unique location, no street noise will disturb you at night, and on Lake Faaker See you are also generally safe from mosquitoes. (Insect repellent plugs are also available at reception if the need should arise.) And where else can you be gently woken in the morning by birdsong? With us you can enjoy your holiday in the heart of nature.

At check-in, the guest concludes a contract with the Hotel Karnerhof as operator of the bathing and sauna facilities and thus accepts the current sauna and bathing regulations as legally binding. The bathing and sauna regulations can be viewed online here or on site at the reception at any time.

A free car park is available on the premises.

We are happy to organise your transfer from Villach train station or one of the airports nearby. Prices available upon request.

Ask for an accessible room. Almost all areas of our house are barrier-free and wheelchair-accessible. For the path to the beach, we support you - to the extent possible - with our electric cart.

• Bank transfers made in advance and vouchers are deducted from the final invoice amount.
